The training is conducted in small groups of no more than 8 people to maximize the\ngroup learning dynamic. It is facilitated to encourage learning by conversation\, debate and drawing\nfrom the participant’s own lived experiences. The training comprises 12-14 weekly classes of an\nhour-and-a-half each. \nFor Whom?\nPersons with lived experience of mental health challenges that have a desire to serve as peer\nsupporters and\, who\, we believe\, possess the attributes to become highly effective peer supporters. \nBy Whom?\nThe GraceWins Mental Health Peer Supporter Training has been developed and is delivered by\nGraceWins DreamTeam Lead Percy D’Souza. Percy is a Peer Support Canada certified peer supporter and community mental health advocate. An ‘ex-severe\, treatment resistant\, psychotic depressive’\, Percy\nhas facilitated courses at the Recovery Colleges in Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health\nSciences and CMHA Durham. The training is conducted in small groups of no more than 8 people to maximize the\ngroup learning dynamic. It is facilitated to encourage learning by conversation\, debate and drawing\nfrom the participant’s own lived experiences. The training comprises 12-14 weekly classes of an\nhour-and-a-half each. \nFor Whom?\nPersons with lived experience of mental health challenges that have a desire to serve as peer\nsupporters and\, who\, we believe\, possess the attributes to become highly effective peer supporters. \nBy Whom?\nThe GraceWins Mental Health Peer Supporter Training has been developed and is delivered by\nGraceWins DreamTeam Lead Percy D’Souza. Percy is a Peer Support Canada certified peer supporter and community mental health advocate.
