DESCRIPTION:The Durham Counselling Walk-in Clinic is a free\, confidential\, counselling clinic\, providing service for children and youth\, 3-19 years (up until their 20th birthday)\, and their families. \nIntakes for counselling sessions are on Tuesdays\, appointments are scheduled on Wednesdays. The clinic provides single-session counselling for clients in Durham region. Clients choose what to address. Participants must be at least 8 years age of before the first day of Camp. \nWhat to Bring to Camp\nPlease send participants with the following:\n•Lunch and snacks (nut-free)\n•Refillable water bottle\n•Sunscreen\n•Hat\n•Extra clothing (if needed) \nLunches and Snacks\n\nParticipants are to bring their own lunches\, snacks\, and drinks every day. We encourage reusable containers to reduce waste. Pack any needed utensils\, as we do not provide them. This event is open to everyone but priority will be given to those with Indigenous Relations. \nIndigenous women have lived for centuries in rhythm with the lunar cycle of Nokomis Giizis\, Grandmother Moon. \nThis program is a commitment to yourself and your experience as a women on our Mother Earth. Over the next 13 moons\, we will gather to understand the moon medicine within us\, uplift our spirits with our sisters and our community. \nWe walk the path of Mino Bimaadiziwin\, the path to the good life\, together\, supported by the teachings of Anishinaabe Elders and Grandmothers. \nRegistration for this event is a commitment to attend all 13 dates listed and is strictly capped at 13 participants. They will explore the great outdoors through fun scavenger hunts and team challenges. \n  \nJuly 13 – 17: Festival of Fun\nCampers explore carnival-inspired games\, arts and crafts\, and friendly competitions. From designing their own festival merch to participating in wacky relay races. Campers will finish the week with mini games and prizes. \n  \nJuly 20 – 24: Quest for the Cup\nCampers channel their inner athlete through a week full of exciting sports and team challenges. They will focus on enhancing their skills and developing strategies for the ultimate camp-wide tournament. \n  \nJuly 27 – July 31: Around the World\nCampers embark on a world tour without leaving camp. Each day\, campers will discover a new country or region through international sports\, cultural games\, and crafts.
