Celebrating Black History Month 2026
Celebrating Black History Month 2026
At Durham Community Health Centre (DCHC), solidarity and equity are at the heart of our work. Paired with respect and trust, these values drive our commitment to uplifting and supporting one another.
Last year, we hosted Durham Region’s first ever Black Health and Wellness Day in collaboration with so many incredible organizations and it was an amazing example of how many impactful events and activities are happening right here in Durham Region, in support of African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) Communities. These events are a testament to the vibrant, resilient, and inspiring spirit of our community members.
In honour of Black History Month, DCHC is honoured to stand in solidarity with our incredible partners serving the ACB Communities across Durham Region. In this spirit of collaboration, we proudly amplify their efforts as we come together to celebrate and honour the ACB communities in Durham Region.
Active allyship is important to us at DCHC, and we proudly support these events by participating alongside our partners. Below are the events we encourage everyone to take part in.
