Newcomers’ Health & Wellness
Durham Region continues to be a place that newcomers to Canada are calling home. The region strives to be a welcoming and an inclusive region. This requires the need to provide wraparound services to help newcomers settle in the region.
Durham Community Health Centre aims to play its role in supporting our Newcomer community members to have the necessary access to their health and wellness needs through partnerships with our community members.
All of our Integrated Clinical & Wellness Care Services are available for our Newcomer community members. While we continue to work towards building a diverse workforce with team members that speak many different languages, we also currently have the ability to quickly translate over 200 languages to ensure the right care is provided at the right time.
