The Learning Hub
The Learning Hub at DCHC aims to offer courses that mobilize knowledge, teach new skills, develop oneself both personally and professionally, and share experiences that shape our minds and bodies through health, wellness, and vocational courses. We encourage our community members to take a proactive, preventative approach to their health and wellness and learn tips and techniques to help them stay physically and mentally well.
These courses are offered and available for our Durham community members, community partners, and health professionals. We offer resources and a range of interactive courses led by community partners and professionals to promote and encourage healthy choices & behaviour. Additionally, we also offer vocational education that enables our community members to be gainfully employed or meet their physiological, safety, belonging, esteem, and self-actualization needs.

Description: In this workshop we will look at mental health as a state of well-being which greatly affects the quality of our day to day lives and our ability to be productive and maintain healthy relationships. This safe and engaging session will provide a forum in which we can share thoughts and experiences while we explore ways we can stay mentally healthy and when and how to seek professional help when needed for ourselves or those we care about.
