Honouring Ziisbaakdoke Giizis (Sugar Making Moon), reminds us of the interconnectedness of this life journey, and our responsibilities to honour all our relations that support our wellness, according to divine law.

This moon signals the beginning of maple syrup making as the sap of our standing tall relations begins to thaw from the winter cold.

As the harvesting of maple sugars strengthens our connections to the land and our ancestral teachings, it also reminds us of the sweetness of life, bringing us to balance after the long cold winter.
