Launch of The ERVCC

We are pleased to announce the launch of The East Region Virtual Care Clinic on August 1, 2023.

Durham Community Health Centre will serve as the East Region Hub for this Ministry of Health funded program designed to deliver a regional Nurse Practitioner-led Virtual Care Clinic that works with local clinics and Ontario Health East to ensure patients can access more timely care. This virtual online clinic is available to all residents of Ontario’s East Region.

East Region Virtual Care Clinic will improve timely access to care, reduce Emergency Department wait times and support patients in receiving care in the comfort of their home, whether it be by video or phone.

The clinic will serve:

Patients with new or persistent cough, fever, rash or other mild symptoms
Patients with health concerns that are not life or limb threatening
Patients with health care questions seeking advice
Patients who either do not have a primary care provider or cannot access their primary care provider in a timely manner

How the Clinic will work
Patients can access the East Region Virtual Care clinic 7 days a week from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. by registering at www.virtualcareontario.ca or 1-888-684-1999.
